CHIAs was participated in ADB learning weeks on 21-22 October 2024 at ADB Head Quarter in Manila, The Philippine, CHIAs was contributed the ideas and sharing the experiences/contexts based on our current situation in Laos during the session in particularly for world café and meeting with Canadian & EU suites of ADB including ADB roadmap 2025-2030 in the last day meeting.
In the two days meeting at ADB office in Manila, we can learn a lot from ADB in terms of inclusivity Sexual and Gender Minorities in Development Program including Challenges and emerging, also Safeguarding policies and ADB roadmap, however it seems very difficult for the people from communities like us due to the meeting was very technical since ADB is a bank which sometimes difficult for us to contributes during the meeting because we are people from community not bank people.
- World café and group discussion is a good method for community to contribute due to people from community able to brainstorm together and think of the best way in implementing and engaging in their country.
- Recommendation for ADB: Safeguarding policies and SOGIESC inclusion should be rollout in the ADB country office and engaging COSs in country level on implementation of those policy including the roadmap.
