APCOM hosts Thailand LGBTQI+ Biz 2022 for Pride Month

APCOM’s 3rd Thailand “Thailand LGBTQI+ Biz 2022”, kicks off the Pride Month taking place 3-5 June at Seacon Square Srinakarin’s MunX2 zone. The event is also supported by the Australian Embassy, Canadian Embassy and Voice Global. 

The physical gathering will once again see over 50 LGBTQI stalls, panel discussions, performances and art exhibition – which due to Covid-19 last year the event was held fully online. We also have the honour of the event to be opened by Chargé d’Affaires a.i. Guztavo Hector Mendez of the Argentinian Embassy as the Co-chair of the Equal Rights Coalition, and to share their progress on LGBTQI human rights in Argentina. 

This forum aims to promote diversity and inclusion for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and intersex (LGBTQI) community in Thailand and is the space for various sectors who support the beautiful and diverse shades of “PRIDE” to create new opportunities and partnerships on supporting LGBTQI communities in all areas.

Besides the formal panel sessions, special shows were performed in the forum from our professional LGBTQI performers LGBTQI. Moreover, there’s a marketplace with stalls  from ally LGBTQI businesses and allies, and LGBTQI community groups to sell and promote their products. 

Thailand LGBTQI+ Biz 2020 significantly shows that there’s value and opportunity to enhance stronger interlinked communities and broader partner networks to support and advance human rights of SOGIESC people for our LGBTQI community.
