APCOM in partnership with the Institute of HIV Research and Innovation (IHRI), TREAT Asia/amfAR – the Foundation for AIDS Research, Taiwan Lourdes Association, Love4One and Taiwan Love and Hope Association, launches to commemorate World AIDS Day, the White Paper “HIV Care Continuum & Beyond: A New Era for Asia” to examine the efforts of six Asian territories to end the epidemic, improve care and quality of life for people living with HIV.

This White Paper represents months of work by our Steering Committee to unravel complexities in China, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand – all of which have experienced challenges and achieved major strides in their prevention and treatment goals. The Steering Committee members are 12 HIV experts from six Asian territories mentioned and they are drawn from the community of people living with HIV and key populations, as well as researchers.

The initiative has 14 recommendations focused on four key challenges on 1) prevention, 2) testing, diagnosis, and treatment, 3) stigma and discrimination, and 4) quality of life.
