Argentina Embassy in Thailand sends message of support to APCOM

APCOM is delighted to have received a letter of compliments and support from the Embassy of Argentina in Thailand. Argentina is well known for its comprehensive transgender rights laws, the 2012 Gender Identity Law have been lauded by many as some of the world’s most progressive that allows people to change their gender identities without facing barriers such as hormone therapy, surgery or psychiatric diagnosis. 

Argentina is also the Co-Chairs together with the United Kingdom on the Equal Rights Coalition (ERC), an intergovernmental body of 42 Member States dedicated to the protection of the rights of LGBTI persons. The ERC advances the human rights of LGBTI persons and promotes inclusive development, in both member and non-member countries, by engaging with civil society organizations, multilateral agencies, and activists from all over the world.

APCOM is one of the 30 civil society organisation Core Group of the Equal Rights Coalition.
