LGBT+ as vulnerable populations: Entry points for ADB Operations’
May 17, 2019
This was the first time for ADB headquarters to commemorate IDAHOTB. On this occasion, then ADB President, Mr. Takehiko Nakao expressed ADB’s support of LGBT+ inclusion inside and outside the organization. Also reinforced that ‘inclusion of vulnerable groups in societies, including LGBT+ people, is critical to achieving a prosperous, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable region, as envisioned in ADB’s Strategy 2030.’
APCOM and Babaylanes, our Philippine country partner for Finance Inc, were part of the panel discussions.

IDAHOTB 2020:
‘Bridging the LGBTI Inclusion Data Gap’
May 20, 2020
The IDAHOTB 2020 edition was held online due to COVID19. ADB partnered with the World Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and the Inter-American Development Bank. The sessions explored the roles of multilateral development banks to close the LGBTI inclusion data gaps. The virtual panel ‘Bridging the LGBTI Inclusion Data Gap’ occurred on May 20, 2020.
APCOM was one of the panelists along with experts from Nepal, Thailand and Hong Kong.
