Communities Delegation of the Board of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria has recently issue their latest bulletin about the 31st Global Fund Board Meeting that was held on 6th and 7th March 2014, in Jakarta, Indonesia. The two-day Board Meeting was focused on six key decisions that were needed to launch the new funding model – including the amended and restated Comprehensive Funding Policy, Special Initiatives, Regional Programmes, Initial Allocation Amount, Transition from the 3rd to the 4th Replenishment Period, and Composition of and Allocation to Country Bands. In addition, the Board Meeting also approved decisions on the 2014 Operating Expenses Budget, revision to the Policy for Disclosure of Reports issued by the Inspector General, Extension Policy under the new funding model, and the appointment of Committee Members; as well as discussed the ethics framework for the Global Fund as well as the 2014 – 2015 Board Calendar. This communiqué provides information on the interventions and positions that the Communities Delegation brought to the 31st Board Meeting.
