Standing for HIV, Equality and Rights

The HERO Awards is an annual gala event in Bangkok which acknowledges outstanding HIV and LGBT advocates and allies from across Asia and the Pacific.

Welcome to APCOM’s HERO Awards

24 November 2023,
The Sukosol Hotel, Bangkok

.

Heroes come in all shapes and sizes. What they have in common is making a difference in the lives of other people. Sometimes it’s many people and sometimes it’s just a few, but any good deed is worth celebrating. Shine a light on your heroes by nominating them in one or several categories. They can be people or organisations who directly help others, whose work is improving the wellbeing of others, or whose achievements are inspiring others.

All award winners receive a FREE trip to Bangkok and a range of gifts.

Nominations are FREE and close on  31 May 2023.

Standing for HIV. Equality and Rights, the HERO Awards is an annual fundraising event which acknowledges outstanding service to the HIV response in Asia and the Pacific, and to the region’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Intersex (LGBTQI) communities.
The HERO Awards also raises funds for the LGBTQI human rights, HIV, health and wellbeing work of APCOM, as well as Covid-19 emergency funding. APCOM is a leading Asia Pacific LGBTQI and HIV non-profit organisation based in Bangkok, Thailand, and is celebrating its 15th anniversary in 2022.

This year HERO Awards will take place on Friday 24 November 2023 in Bangkok. The HERO Awards promises a fabulously fun evening of inspiration and celebration as community members and supporters pay tribute to the extraordinary contributions of individuals and organisations who have improved the lives of LGBTQI people and people affected by HIV throughout the Asia Pacific region.

The HERO Awards is produced by APCOM and is generously supported by a range of community, corporate and diplomatic partners.

The first HERO Awards took place in 2017 to mark the 10th anniversary commemorations of APCOM
