Join APCOM to Commemorate the 2017 International Day against Homophobia and Transphobia

By May 11, 2017 Newsroom

Join our #RainbowFamily and help us commemorate the International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia (IDAHOT) and champion lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) rights in Thailand. This year’s theme focuses on the role of family connections, love and support for LGBTI people and their families so we encourage you to also bring your families, partners and friends to join us!

Taking place in Bangkok Art and Culture Centre on May 17 from 1PM to 8.30PM, the event will feature panel discussion, live entertainment, a DIY art space, #RainbowFamily photo exhibitions, and personal stories capturing the diversity of LGBTI family life in Thailand, from celebrities, ambassadors and those in the wider LGBTI community, a special light and rainbow flag ceremony, and more.

IDAHOT Thailand 2017 is co-organized and hosted by the Ministry of Justice of Thailand, the National Human Rights Commission of Thailand and the World Bank Group, along with UNESCO, the Embassy of Canada, APCOM as well as civil society, private sector and development partners.

The event is free. Come early and receive an IDAHOT memorabilia, including our own APCOM giveaway, as a token of appreciation for helping to champion LGBTI rights and to show your solidarity and allyship for equal rights for LGBTI community members.

Find out more about the event details at the IDAHOT Thailand’s official website or the Facebook event page.
