Reporting back on Emergency Funding to our Communities

Bangkok Rainbow joined forces with “The Women’s Network for Health, Pathum Thani Province” to distribute emergency packages to flood victim’s community in the Rangsit, Pathum Thani province with the following target groups:

  1. Flood victims in Ban Bang Due, Bang Luang, and Kasang communities
  2. People living with HIV and their families who are flood victims with the assistance of “The Women’s Network for Health, Pathum Thani Province, in 3 communities namely
    • Ban Bang Due community, 200 people
    • Ban Bang Luang community, 150 people
    • Ban Kachaeng community, 150 people
  3. Sports School (Boxing Club), Phitsanulok Province, requesting support for food and drinks shortages, 200 people
  4. Survival bags for low-income or unemployed sex workers and children’s day activities within the Phaya Thai area

The target communities in Rangsit, Pathum Thani, had endured flooding for a long period. The accessibility to the area is limited and the scarcity of water supply, food, and medicine imposes difficulties on their everyday lives. The aid agencies are limited and unequally dispersed. There is still a need for much more assistance.

Bangkok Rainbow gave away essential packages filled with rice, dry food, medicine, and emergency aid to the communities in total of 100,000 baht
