Okkar’s real name is Ye Htoo Khaing Win, born in Yangon, Myanmar Sept 18, 1985.

He is the eldest of the three siblings, and graduated with an English major from Dagon University. He started acting career in Myanmar at the age of 18. he has acted in over 40 films, TV shows, as well as modeling for numerous projects such as magazines, calendars, billboards, posters, fashion shows, and commercials. After 5 years in the film industry, he gave up his career and decided to continue studying in a foreign university.

In August 2009, he studied in New York at State University of New York (Delhi). He was studying for a hospitality management major for a year, and then transferred to Berkeley college in New York city to continue his studies in a Business administration management major. In 2012, I graduated with an Associates degree from Berkeley college. In 2016, I decided to go back to the film industry in Myanmar and resumed an acting career with the movie “The Gemini” directed by Nyo Min Lwin, which has been screened in New York, Los Angeles and Yangon in 2016. He released his debut album “18” in November 2016.

Okkar competed in one of the male pageants, Mister Tourism World representing Myanmar in 2016 and won the grand prize. During his reign, I traveled to the UK, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, and Canada to fulfill my duties.

During 2017, he acted in 3 more feature films in Myanmar theaters in 2019. Okkar and another co-ordinator organized the first ever international pageant in Myanmar and gained big success and made history in Myanmar and also promoted Myanmar as a tourist destination. In July 2018, he officially came out as gay. Currently, he is taking a break from the film industry.
