Exploring Thailand’s position as an inclusive wedding and hospitality destination
The legalisation of same-sex marriage in January 2025 has transformed Thailand into a premier LGBTQI+ destination for Asia. Combining its renowned hospitality and tourism sector, Thailand has become a top global choice for inclusive weddings, honeymoon and holiday destinations.
This session looks at how Thailand has geared for this “rainbow boom”, the effects of the current political climate on its positioning, and its long term strategy as Thailand looks to host the 2030 WorldPride.

What has Changed in the Workplace since Marriage Equality?
Assessing progress in policy adoption and identifying remaining implementation gaps
Thailand’s landmark Marriage Equality Act in 2025 had marked a historic leap forward for LGBTQI+ rights and has catalyzed significant shifts in workplace inclusivity including the human resources policy and its implementation. While leading employers are updating spousal benefits and leveraging inclusion toolkits, significant legislative and systemic enforcement gaps remain, particularly for transgender employees.
This session looks at how companies in Thailand have taken steps to ensure inclusive policy adoption and implementation, and what are the gaps that they are currently working on.

Health and Wellbeing of LGBTQI+ Communities:
Examining the role of inclusive healthcare and gender-affirming care in enabling economic productivity
Ensuring affordable access to inclusive healthcare and gender-affirming care drive economic productivity as they allow LGBTQI+ individuals to be themselves and be productive members of the workforce, and Thailand simultaneously positioning itself as a global medical hub.
This session looks at how hospitals have been able to change its policy and practices since the marriage equality act last year to cater to the needs of LGBTQI health and wellbeing, and what are the gaps and challenges from their perspective.
