Selvan Anthony (APCOM capacity development officer) initiated the meeting to provide a platform to catch up and socialise with PNG participants on the side of the 3rd PHRC on SOGIESC.

He provided a background:
- Long history of our work from Kapul Champions, and with the KPAC (Key Population Advocacy Consortium) on PEPFAR and Global Fund work
- CLM and PrEP work that APCOM is working on
- Support that APCOM can provide, particularly on visibility of the organisations and issues experienced by the community in PNG
The PNG delegates gave the following updates:
- KPAC conducted a capacity strengthening analysis
- The community needs support to do community outreach and education
- There is so much community generated data which is not yet being used for advocacy (and support is needed to do this)
- GFATM and PEPFAR downsizing and concentrating on a few provinces and reducing the available services for the community
- Community is engaging with the MoH to do community-based testing for HIV and also syphilis, and conducting population size estimates
- Communities support on capacity building especially on translating the CLM data
Some discussion on the collaboration and ensure joint communication:
- Ensure that groups in PNG are signed up to APCOM newsletter so they get updated information on the region, they are encouraged to sign up and attend webinars, and also can contribute their stories and share via APCOM newsletter
- KPAC to share their capacity assessment report
- APCOM can share information related to CLM webinars
