Meet APCOM Experts

Nicky Suwandi

Communications and Demand Generation Officer

“I always learn something new every day because the country contexts of each grant country are very diverse. With the implementation of demand generation, we’re able to reach key populations on a larger scale by utilizing technology – in fun and easy ways. I feel my work is meaningful and it’s simply exciting.”

“Working at the regional level comes with great responsibility – it’s just part of the package. Although it’s a big learning curve for me, I like the fact that I must challenge myself on a day-to-day basis. Not to mention the privilege of working on something that I truly believed in for the better of my very own community.”

Hailing from Indonesia, Nicky has substantive experience and knowledge on social marketing and digital campaigns. Previously he worked for GWL –INA, the Indonesian national network of gay men, transgender and men who have sex with men, and was leading and implementing TestJKT and TestYKA campaigns. He loves to hear Jazz, opera, and classical music. He thinks Thai food is one the best in the world.
