What Happened at the previous Thailand LGBTQI+ Biz Forum?
APCOM hosted the first Thailand LGBTQI+ Biz Forum in 2020 with the aim to promote diversity and inclusion for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and intersex (LGBTQI) communities in Thailand. Due to the uniqueness of the event that brings different stakeholders together to advance LGBTQI social and economic inclusion, we have been holding the Thailand LGBTQI+ Biz Forum on an annual basis.
The 2nd LGBTQI+ Biz Forum in 2021, held online due to the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, bore testament to our unwavering dedication. In collaboration with the Australian Embassy, APCOM embarked on a journey to kickstart Pride Month, shedding light on the paramount importance of LGBTQI inclusion amidst the backdrop of Covid-19. Termed as “Bangkok Pride 2.0: Covid-19 Recovery Towards LGBTQI Inclusion,” this event symbolized resilience and unity in the face of adversity.

The 3rd Thailand LGBTQI+ Biz Forum in 2022 held 3-5 June commenced Pride Month on an auspicious note. With the support from the Australian Embassy, the Canadian Embassy and Voice, APCOM proudly hosted this significant event in person again, underscoring our collective commitment to advancing LGBTQI social and economic inclusion.

APCOM hosts Thailand LGBTQI+ Biz 2022 for Pride Month
Last year the 4th Thailand LGBTQI+ Biz Forum 2023 was held during 16-18 June 2023 at the Riverside Plaza, Bangkok, Thailand. The Forum convened about 500 participants and reached 5,000 views through Prachatai social media platforms to join an exciting opportunity to further the social and economic inclusion of LGBTQI+ in Thailand given the recent elections. The impact from this forum is strengthening networking and collaboration among LGBTQI community and other stakeholders, while creating platform that promotes LGBTQI social and economic inclusion and a template for our partners in other countries to create a similar platform. Highlights of the forums are discussions from many aspects and multi stakeholders under the theme “Rights and Welfare of LGBTQI+ People in the Workplace”.
